Product Overview
Toothed chains, also known as silent chains, are a type of transmission chain. The applicable national standard is GB/T 10855-2016, *Toothed Chains and Sprockets*. They consist of a series of alternating toothed chain plates and guide plates connected by hinge elements such as pins or pin assemblies, forming hinged joints between adjacent pitches.

Precautions
1. The sprockets should be mounted on the shaft without any skewing or wobble. In the same transmission assembly, the end faces of the two sprockets should be in the same plane. When the center distance between the sprockets is less than 0.5 meters, a deviation of 1 mm is permissible; when the center distance is greater than 0.5 meters, a deviation of 2 mm is permissible. However, friction between the sprocket teeth sides is not allowed. Excessive misalignment between the two sprockets can easily cause chain slippage and accelerated wear. When replacing sprockets, the misalignment must be checked and adjusted.
2. The tension of the conveyor chain should be appropriate. Too tight a chain increases power consumption and causes premature bearing wear; too loose a chain can cause jumping and slippage. The appropriate chain tension is: when the chain is lifted or pressed down from the middle, the center distance between the two sprockets should be approximately 2%-3%.
